Established in 2009 by Chef Fetlework Tefferi, Brundo Spices is a first of its kind, woman owned and operated, commercial scale specialty food company. After 25 years in the restaurant industry Chef Tefferi sought to introduce and popularize the unique spices and flavors from her home country of Ethiopia. In 2015 after scaling operations to meet demand, Brundo Spices moved from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to a manufacturing warehouse in Modjo, Ethiopia. This puts Brundo Spices in a strategic position within Ethiopia's Spice Belt. By shortening our supply chain Brundo Spices has unique access and opportunity to curate and manufacture authentic herbs and spices from local farmers. As Brundo Spices continues to expand operations we remain dedicated to our core values which include, respect for the environment and a commitment to supporting our host community.
